Ox Chair: construction and work required
The Ox Chair was designed by Hans J. Wegner. The Ox Chair features a wide, horn-shaped headrest, sturdy round armrests, and a sculptural upholstered body on a sleek steel frame. The large headpiece and distinct arm ends characterize the model.
The horns, armrest ends and backrest must retain their precise shapes. Reupholstering the chair is extensive work; the matching footstool is assessed and priced separately.
Choose a service for Ox Chair
You can select Reupholstery as a starting point in the price selector. The quote concerns your own furniture. If several jobs are needed, they are described together in the quote; selections in the price selector are not automatically added together.
The starting price includes a new cover for the selected upholstered part in the chosen material category. It requires a usable underlying structure. New foam, replacement of other filling or webbing, or extensive rebuilding of the upholstery are priced after inspection. These jobs must not be confused with simply changing the cover.
Materials and the appearance you want to preserve
You can choose furniture fabric, leather, or aniline leather as a starting point for the quote. The specific quality, color, and finish are agreed upon based on usage and preferences. A patterned textile may require more material than a solid-colored one, and the leather's natural variations must be taken into account during cutting. If multiple pieces of furniture are to have the same upholstery, they are assessed as a single project.
Photos for assessing Ox Chair
Show the headrest from both sides, the ends of the arms, the back, and the underside. Describe sagging, cracks, and any previous alterations to the upholstery.
A photo of the markings or model number helps identify the version. State the number of pieces of furniture, previous repairs, and the issues you experience during use. Take photos calmly and with enough light so that both edges and details can be seen.
Starting price and agreement before work
All prices are indicative starting prices per piece of furniture, including VAT. Material consumption, quality, and the actual condition of the furniture can change the final amount. Work is only initiated once materials, scope, and price have been agreed upon in a specific quote. The timing for drop-off and completion is clarified in the same process.
Collection and delivery are agreed separately. See also prices for furniture service, or send images and describe your job.
