Cushions that fit your furniture
Custom cushions are based on the space the cushion must fit, and how you intend to use it. A narrow bench, a deep sofa, and an outdoor seat present different requirements for shape, thickness, and material.
At Møbelpartner you can request a quote for a complete cushion made to measure. Describe your dimensions and wishes, so that execution and possibility of delivery can be assessed. A special cushion does not automatically get a correct price simply by multiplying length and width.

A new cover, a foam piece, and a complete cushion are different deliveries. Therefore, specify what the inquiry should cover, and whether you have existing parts to be reused.
Find the relevant use
Bench cushions cover benches, storage benches, window seats and alcoves. Fitting between fixed sides, lid access and finished seat height are particularly important.
Sofa cushions require separate descriptions of the seat and back. If the furniture is on a patio or in a garden, use the guide to outdoor cushions.
For boats and caravans the intended use, moisture, multiple parts and any sloping surfaces must be described. The special shape and material requirements must be confirmed before ordering.
How to prepare the measurements
Measure the space itself and specify separately if you have also measured an old cushion. Write all measurements in centimetres. Use length, depth and desired thickness, and mark what is front and back edge.
For a skewed or curved shape, a drawing is necessary. A single width and depth measurement does not describe a curve. Indicate cutouts, slanted sides and the location of armrests or other obstructions. Agree whether a physical template is necessary before you send or cut anything to.
Measured space and finished dimensions are not always identical. Fitting, cover and any movement in the furniture must be included in the final specification. Do not therefore guess a deduction or seam allowance.
Thickness, firmness and cover
Describe whether you wish for a firm seating position or a softer experience, and how the furniture is used today. A thicker cushion changes seat height and can affect access to table, backrest or armrests.
For the cover, colour, surface, cleaning and any fastening must be agreed. If you want made-to-measure leather cushions, mention this; the particular leather type and specification will be assessed for the job. If you want removable covers, both the zip and the material’s care instructions must be included in the agreement.
From enquiry to order
Send measurements, images and wishes with the quantity and intended use. The final agreement must describe each cushion’s dimensions, shape, filling, covers and any details, along with the price and practical arrangements.
Approve the order only when the specification is clear. A drawing in the initial inquiry is a starting point for the dialogue; it is not in itself a confirmed production drawing. See prices and collection and delivery for the remaining points.
