Arrange transport together with the job
Collection and delivery must suit the furniture, the address, and the agreed work. Therefore, provide the practical details when sending your inquiry. A price for the work itself does not automatically include transport.
We help clarify drop-off and transport arrangements. Contact us before sending furniture or planning a visit.
If you want to ask about pickup
Please provide the postcode, number of items, and approximate dimensions. Tell us if the furniture is on the ground floor or on an upper floor, whether there is an elevator, and if there are access or parking conditions that need to be taken into account.
A request for transport is a clarification of the possibilities for your address. There is no general nationwide scheme or a fixed transport price indicated on this page. Timing, price and any return delivery must be confirmed in your agreement.
If you drop it off yourself
Confirm the drop-off location, time and which parts to bring. Current contact and visiting details are on the contact page. Follow the details in your own agreement if they are more specific.
When reupholstering, delivering just a loose seat is not always sufficient. The entire chair may be relevant to check the fit or construction. For cushions, both the existing filling and cover can be useful as a base. Agree on this before taking anything apart.
Protect and identify the parts
Protect exposed corners and keep loose parts together. Screws, fittings, and removable parts should be marked so they can be attached to the correct furniture. Do not use tape directly on wood, weaving, or upholstery where it could leave marks.
If you have several cushions, number them on the drawing and with removable labels that cause no damage. This is particularly useful for boat cushions and caravan cushions, where the shape can vary from place to place.
Before the furniture is sent
Agree on packaging, shipping, receipt and how any transport damage will be handled. Do not send furniture without prior arrangement. Photograph its condition and packaging so the handover is documented.
Distinguish between material availability, working time and transport time. An item being in stock does not in itself constitute a confirmed repair arrangement. If you hope to use the furniture again by a particular date, this must be stated and confirmed separately.
