We start with the furniture’s condition, construction and your wishes. For Petra VB3 you can choose:

  • Restoration of wooden frame

Send images of the entire piece of furniture and close-ups of wear or damage. We assess the task and clarify materials, price and expected time with you before work begins.

Is it worth restoring?

If our restoration price exceeds what a new item would cost, we will always inform you and provide an honest assessment before we begin. In this way, you can safely choose what makes the most sense – both for you and for the planet.

Collection & delivery

We offer collection and delivery of your furniture throughout Denmark. You are also very welcome to drop off and collect from one of our workshops. We agree a time for delivery or collection that suits you.

Petra VB3: construction and work required

Petra VB3 was designed by Viggo Boesen. Petra VB3 has a high, softly winged back, low rounded armrests and a fixed upholstered seat. The large back continues into the body above four short wooden legs.

The high back requires more material than the Little Petra VB1. Cutting and joining are aligned with the long curves; a matching ottoman is not included in the chair's starting price.

Choose a service for Petra VB3

You can select Reupholstery and Restoration of wooden frame as a starting point in the price selector. The quote concerns your own furniture. If several jobs are needed, they are described together in the quote; selections in the price selector are not automatically added together.

The starting price includes a new cover for the selected upholstered part in the chosen material category. It requires a usable underlying structure. New foam, replacement of other filling or webbing, or extensive rebuilding of the upholstery are priced after inspection. These jobs must not be confused with simply changing the cover.

Materials and the appearance you want to preserve

Upholstery fabric and sheepskin are cut differently around the back and armrests. For sheepskin, fur direction, hair length, and seams are agreed upon, while woven fabric is assessed based on texture and wear requirements. The specific quality is chosen using samples. Reconstruction of padding or foam is a separate part of the offer.

The wooden frame can be assessed for restoration at the same time as the seat or cushions. Specify if you wish to preserve the current tone and visible signs of wear. The shown price for the wooden frame is an independent starting point; major damage or replacement of parts requires a specific quote.

Photos for assessing Petra VB3

Show the entire back from both sides, armrests, seat and underside. Take close-up images of wear along the wings and specify if the filling has lost its shape.

A photo of the markings or model number helps identify the version. State the number of pieces of furniture, previous repairs, and the issues you experience during use. Take photos calmly and with enough light so that both edges and details can be seen.

Starting price and agreement before work

All prices are indicative starting prices per piece of furniture, including VAT. Material consumption, quality, and the actual condition of the furniture can change the final amount. Work is only initiated once materials, scope, and price have been agreed upon in a specific quote. The timing for drop-off and completion is clarified in the same process.
