Kurvemagerne and Møbelpartner
Kurvemagerne is Møbelpartner's sub-brand specialising in weaving and restoration. Møbelpartner brings together furniture services including reupholstery, repair and made-to-measure cushions. Both brands operate under the same Danish company registration number (CVR).
You can find instructions on chair weaving here at Møbelpartner. An agreement you have already made must still be handled through the known correspondence.
Find the right weaving
Weaving is not a single technique. The furniture's construction and the existing material are decisive for which solution fits.
- Envelope weave is relevant when the pattern forms sections that converge towards the centre.
- Flat weave has a different construction and is assessed based on seat and attachment.
- Cane-strip weaving starts with the flat strips and their pattern.
- French caning requires clarification of whether the seat is hand-woven or mounted as a finished surface.
- Woven webbing covers wide webbing, fastening and tension.
