We start with the furniture’s condition, construction and your wishes. For Oksen armchair you can choose:

Is it worth restoring?

If our restoration price exceeds what a new item would cost, we will always inform you and provide an honest assessment before we begin. In this way, you can safely choose what makes the most sense – both for you and for the planet.

Collection & delivery

We offer collection and delivery of your furniture throughout Denmark. You are also very welcome to drop off and collect from one of our workshops. We agree a time for delivery or collection that suits you.

Oksen armchair: construction and work required

The Oksen armchair was designed by Arne Jacobsen. Oksen has a large upholstered body, distinctive angular armrests and a broad headrest with side wings. The chair stands on a central star base.

The split back, headrest, and large side panels make leather selection and cutting significant. The footstool is a separate model and is not included in the chair's starting price.

Choose a service for Oksen armchair

You can select Reupholstery as a starting point in the price selector. The quote concerns your own furniture. If several jobs are needed, they are described together in the quote; selections in the price selector are not automatically added together.

The starting price includes a new cover for the selected upholstered part in the chosen material category. It requires a usable underlying structure. New foam, replacement of other filling or webbing, or extensive rebuilding of the upholstery are priced after inspection. These jobs must not be confused with simply changing the cover.

Materials and the appearance you want to preserve

The Oksen series is offered here in leather or aniline leather. Hide thickness, surface and size must suit the covered areas and existing seams. Agree colour and desired patina from a physical sample. New filling and major rebuilding are confirmed after inspection.

Photos for assessing Oksen armchair

Send front, side, and back photos as well as close-ups of the headrest, seat cushion, and armrests. Also describe any faults in the swivel or return mechanism.

A photo of the markings or model number helps identify the version. State the number of pieces of furniture, previous repairs, and the issues you experience during use. Take photos calmly and with enough light so that both edges and details can be seen.

Starting price and agreement before work

All prices are indicative starting prices per piece of furniture, including VAT. Material consumption, quality, and the actual condition of the furniture can change the final amount. Work is only initiated once materials, scope, and price have been agreed upon in a specific quote. The timing for drop-off and completion is clarified in the same process.
