Give PK0 A new life

We start with the furniture’s condition, construction and your wishes. For PK0 A you can choose:

  • Restoration of a veneer surface

Send images of the entire piece of furniture and close-ups of wear or damage. We assess the task and clarify materials, price and expected time with you before work begins.

Is it worth restoring?

If our restoration price exceeds what a new item would cost, we will always inform you and provide an honest assessment before we begin. In this way, you can safely choose what makes the most sense – both for you and for the planet.

Collection & delivery

We offer collection and delivery of your furniture throughout Denmark. You are also very welcome to drop off and collect from one of our workshops. We agree a time for delivery or collection that suits you.

PK0 A: construction and work required

PK0 A was designed by Poul Kjærholm. PK0 A is an unpadded lounge chair composed of two curved veneer elements. The shaped surfaces form the seat, back, and support points, while small spacers connect the parts.

The thickness of the veneer and the curved edges require careful handling. Delamination, fractures at joints, and deep sanding through the veneer are structural damages that are assessed before surface work.

Choose a service for PK0 A

You can select Restoration of a veneer surface as a starting point in the price selector. The quote concerns your own furniture. If several jobs are needed, they are described together in the quote; selections in the price selector are not automatically added together.

The starting price applies to the careful restoration of a usable veneer surface. Gluing delaminated layers, replacing veneer, fractures, and missing assembly parts are not included automatically. The possibility of repair is clarified before the surface is processed.

Materials and the appearance you want to preserve

Wood type, veneer direction, and existing treatment are recorded before the work begins. The thin surface must not be treated like solid wood with a large sanding allowance. Flaking and lifted edges are assessed separately; the desired glow and patina are agreed upon based on photos and examination.

Show the entire chair, the edges of both veneer elements, the joints and all support points. Take close-up pictures of peeling, pressure marks and previous sanding.

A photo of the markings or model number helps identify the version. State the number of pieces of furniture, previous repairs, and the issues you experience during use. Take photos calmly and with enough light so that both edges and details can be seen.

Starting price and agreement before work

All prices are indicative starting prices per piece of furniture, including VAT. Material consumption, quality, and the actual condition of the furniture can change the final amount. Work is only initiated once materials, scope, and price have been agreed upon in a specific quote. The timing for drop-off and completion is clarified in the same process.
