PP524 Dækstolen: construction and work required

The PP524 Deck Chair was designed by Hans J. Wegner. The deck chair is a long lounge chair without armrests, featuring flag line in the seat and backrest. The wooden frame has an adjustable back, which is held in place by metal fittings and a support bracket.

The cords must be tensioned to suit both the long seat and the movable back. Fittings, the safety strap and wood around the attachment points are inspected before reweaving.

Choose a service for PP524 Dækstolen

You can select New flag halyards for seat and backrest and Restoration of wooden frame and New cover for headrest cushion as a starting point in the price selector. The quote concerns your own furniture. If several jobs are needed, they are described together in the quote; selections in the price selector are not automatically added together.

The starting price for flag halyards covers the seat and backrest. It requires a stable wooden frame and usable holes. Metal fittings, the safety strap, broken wood and the headrest cushion are not automatically included. The headrest cushion cover and wood restoration are separate services; any new filling is agreed separately.

Materials and the appearance you want to preserve

The seat and back are tensioned with flag line in a dimension and structure that match the frame's holes and load. Paper cord is not the same material. Natural-colored or black line is the starting point; the headrest can be upholstered in fabric or leather. The wooden frame and movable fittings are assessed separately.

The wooden frame can be assessed for restoration at the same time as the seat or cushions. Specify if you wish to preserve the current tone and visible signs of wear. The shown price for the wooden frame is an independent starting point; major damage or replacement of parts requires a specific quote.

Photos for assessing PP524 Dækstolen

Show the whole reclining chair from the side, the cords on seat and back, the support bar and safety strap. Include photos of the neck cushion if it also needs a new cover.

A photo of the markings or model number helps identify the version. State the number of pieces of furniture, previous repairs, and the issues you experience during use. Take photos calmly and with enough light so that both edges and details can be seen.

Starting price and agreement before work

All prices are indicative starting prices per piece of furniture, including VAT. Material consumption, quality, and the actual condition of the furniture can change the final amount. Work is only initiated once materials, scope, and price have been agreed upon in a specific quote. The timing for drop-off and completion is clarified in the same process.
