Jægerstolen BM1106: construction and work required

Jægerstolen BM1106 was designed by Børge Mogensen. Jægerstolen BM1106, also called the Huntsman Chair, has a solid wooden frame with armrests and tightly tensioned saddle leather. Prominent metal fittings connect the back to the frame.

The slim armrests, the carved joints, and the fittings are crucial to the chair's expression. BM1106 is a different construction than the low Hunting Chair 2229 and must be measured separately.

Choose a service for Jægerstolen BM1106

You can select Restoration of wooden frame and New seat in saddle leather and New backrest in saddle leather and New seat and backrest in saddle leather as a starting point in the price selector. The quote concerns your own furniture. If several jobs are needed, they are described together in the quote; selections in the price selector are not automatically added together.

The starting price for leatherwork applies to the selected part, cut and mounted in load-bearing saddle leather with the agreed edges and stitching. Existing fittings are only reused if they are suitable. New buckles, defective fittings, missing parts, and structural repairs are assessed separately. Wood restoration is a separate service and is not automatically added to the leather price.

Materials and the appearance you want to preserve

Strong saddle leather is used, which is suitable for bearing weight without foam padding. Thickness, tanning, and flexibility must match the model and straps. Ordinary furniture fabric or thin upholstery leather is not a comparable material choice. Color and desired patina are matched with a sample; the treatment of the wood is chosen based on the existing frame.

Show back fittings, armrests, the seat's straps and the lower leg joints. Send both a front image and a side image so the model and proportions can be confirmed.

A photo of the markings or model number helps identify the version. State the number of pieces of furniture, previous repairs, and the issues you experience during use. Take photos calmly and with enough light so that both edges and details can be seen.

Starting price and agreement before work

All prices are indicative starting prices per piece of furniture, including VAT. Material consumption, quality, and the actual condition of the furniture can change the final amount. Work is only initiated once materials, scope, and price have been agreed upon in a specific quote. The timing for drop-off and completion is clarified in the same process.
