Myren 3100 with three legs: construction and work required

The Ant 3100 with three legs was designed by Arne Jacobsen. The Ant 3100 has three steel legs and a continuous pressure-molded veneer shell with a narrow waist between the seat and the back. The three-legged structure identifies the model.

Restoration is based on the shell's existing lacquer or veneer. Breaks in the waist and loose layers are structural defects, which are addressed before surface work.

Choose a service for Myren 3100 with three legs

You can select Restoration of a veneered shell as a starting point in the price selector. The quote concerns your own furniture. If several jobs are needed, they are described together in the quote; selections in the price selector are not automatically added together.

The starting price applies to the assessment and restoration of the existing veneer shell surface. The method depends on the lacquer, color, and the condition of the face veneer. Cracks, loose veneer layers, shell replacement, and repair of the metal frame or moving parts are separate tasks. The original profile and edge must be preserved; deep damage cannot always be removed.

Materials and the appearance you want to preserve

The wood type, previous treatment, and desired result must be clarified before the surface is processed. An oil-treated surface requires a different approach than lacquer, and existing patina may be part of the furniture's value to you. Therefore, specify both what needs to be improved and what needs to be preserved.

Photos for assessing Myren 3100 with three legs

Show the entire chair, the shell from the back, the waist from the side and the attachment to the three legs. Describe scratches, peeling and any movement in the back.

A photo of the markings or model number helps identify the version. State the number of pieces of furniture, previous repairs, and the issues you experience during use. Take photos calmly and with enough light so that both edges and details can be seen.

Starting price and agreement before work

All prices are indicative starting prices per piece of furniture, including VAT. Material consumption, quality, and the actual condition of the furniture can change the final amount. Work is only initiated once materials, scope, and price have been agreed upon in a specific quote. The timing for drop-off and completion is clarified in the same process.
