PP521 Den Polstrede Påfugl: construction and work required

PP521 The Upholstered Peacock was designed by Hans J. Wegner. The PP521 features a large curved back and upholstered armrests on visible wooden legs. Fabric on the main surfaces is combined with leather at the neck and armrests, allowing the two materials to form a unified look.

The transition between fabric and leather, as well as the traditional upholstery structure, requires a specific review. The model is the upholstered Peacock and does not have the open wooden back and paper cord seat of the PP550 chair.

Choose a service for PP521 Den Polstrede Påfugl

You can select Reupholstery and Restoration of wooden frame as a starting point in the price selector. The quote concerns your own furniture. If several jobs are needed, they are described together in the quote; selections in the price selector are not automatically added together.

The starting price applies to new fabric on the upholstered main surfaces and new leather details at the neck and armrests on a usable base structure. Traditional padding, webbing, and support are assessed upon opening. A rebuild is a separate task; existing materials are not automatically replaced with standard foam. Wood restoration is selected separately.

Materials and the appearance you want to preserve

The model's characteristic combination of fabric and leather is preserved as a starting point. You can choose standard furniture leather or aniline leather for the contact surfaces, while the larger areas will feature furniture fabric. The color, thickness, and joints of the two materials are coordinated using samples. Changes to the original upholstery structure require a separate agreement.

The wooden frame can be assessed for restoration at the same time as the seat or cushions. Specify if you wish to preserve the current tone and visible signs of wear. The shown price for the wooden frame is an independent starting point; major damage or replacement of parts requires a specific quote.

Show the entire back from front and back, the leather at the neck and arms and the underside. State previous reupholstery, and show where the filling has lost shape or firmness.
