PP530 Baljestolen: construction and work required

The PP530 Tub Chair was designed by Hans J. Wegner. The Tub Chair features a double-curved back shell and a shaped seat with upward-curving sides. Upholstered surfaces are combined with solid wood and a mechanism for adjusting the back's tilt.

The edges of the upholstery must follow the curves of the shells without obscuring their profile. Woodwork and adjustment issues are separate parts of the task and must be described before cutting.

Choose a service for PP530 Baljestolen

You can select Reupholstery of seat and backrest and Restoration of wooden frame as a starting point in the price selector. The quote concerns your own furniture. If several jobs are needed, they are described together in the quote; selections in the price selector are not automatically added together.

The starting price includes a new cover for the selected upholstered part in the chosen material category. It requires a usable underlying structure. New foam, replacement of other filling or webbing, or extensive rebuilding of the upholstery are priced after inspection. These jobs must not be confused with simply changing the cover.

Materials and the appearance you want to preserve

You can choose furniture fabric, leather, or aniline leather as a starting point for the quote. The specific quality, color, and finish are agreed upon based on usage and preferences. A patterned textile may require more material than a solid-colored one, and the leather's natural variations must be taken into account during cutting. If multiple pieces of furniture are to have the same upholstery, they are assessed as a single project.

The wooden frame can be assessed for restoration at the same time as the seat or cushions. Specify if you wish to preserve the current tone and visible signs of wear. The shown price for the wooden frame is an independent starting point; major damage or replacement of parts requires a specific quote.

Photos for assessing PP530 Baljestolen

Show the seat and back from the front, the backs of the shells, the legs and the adjustment bracket. Describe whether the back is held correctly in the different positions.

A photo of the markings or model number helps identify the version. State the number of pieces of furniture, previous repairs, and the issues you experience during use. Take photos calmly and with enough light so that both edges and details can be seen.

Starting price and agreement before work

All prices are indicative starting prices per piece of furniture, including VAT. Material consumption, quality, and the actual condition of the furniture can change the final amount.
