PK33 stool: construction and work required
The PK33 stool was designed by Poul Kjærholm. The PK33 features a round, detachable cushion over a painted, laminated wooden ring and three legs made of matte chrome-plated spring steel. The cushion is attached to the ring, and its edge is visible all the way around.
The round shape and the height of the edge require precise cutting. Canvas and leather are handled as different upholstery materials; the surface of the legs is chrome-plated and must not be handled like solid stainless steel.
Choose a service for PK33 stool
You can select Reupholstery of cushion as a starting point in the price selector. The quote concerns your own furniture. If several jobs are needed, they are described together in the quote; selections in the price selector are not automatically added together.
The starting price includes a new cover for the selected upholstered part in the chosen material category. It requires a usable underlying structure. New foam, replacement of other filling or webbing, or extensive rebuilding of the upholstery are priced after inspection. These jobs must not be confused with simply changing the cover.
Materials and the appearance you want to preserve
Canvas, leather, or aniline leather are the starting points for the cushion. The material's structure, thickness, and edge finish are adjusted to the round shape. The cushion's attachment to the laminated ring is examined at the same time. Damage to chrome, the wooden ring, and the legs is not automatically included in a reupholstery job.
Photos for assessing PK33 stool
Show the cushion top, edge and attachment under the wooden ring. Include images of legs and labelling so that both upholstery and frame type can be assessed.
A photo of the markings or model number helps identify the version. State the number of pieces of furniture, previous repairs, and the issues you experience during use. Take photos calmly and with enough light so that both edges and details can be seen.
Starting price and agreement before work
All prices are indicative starting prices per piece of furniture, including VAT. Material consumption, quality, and the actual condition of the furniture can change the final amount. Work is only initiated once materials, scope, and price have been agreed upon in a specific quote. The timing for drop-off and completion is clarified in the same process.
Collection and delivery are agreed separately. See also prices for furniture service, or send images and describe your job.
