OW149F Colonial footstool: construction and work required

The OW149F Colonial footstool was designed by Ole Wanscher. The Colonial footstool features a light wooden frame with four round legs and a loose upholstered cushion. The seat beneath the cushion is hand-woven, meaning both the upholstery and the support are significant to its use.

The cushion’s low profile and edge finish must be preserved. The starting price covers the cushion’s cover; the supporting weaving underneath is examined as a separate part of the construction.

Choose a service for OW149F Colonial footstool

You can select Reupholstery of cushion and Restoration of wooden frame as a starting point in the price selector. The quote concerns your own furniture. If several jobs are needed, they are described together in the quote; selections in the price selector are not automatically added together.

The starting price includes a new cover for the selected upholstered part in the chosen material category. It requires a usable underlying structure. New foam, replacement of other filling or webbing, or extensive rebuilding of the upholstery are priced after inspection. These jobs must not be confused with simply changing the cover.

Materials and the appearance you want to preserve

You can choose furniture fabric, leather, or aniline leather as a starting point for the quote. The specific quality, color, and finish are agreed upon based on usage and preferences. A patterned textile may require more material than a solid-colored one, and the leather's natural variations must be taken into account during cutting. If multiple pieces of furniture are to have the same upholstery, they are assessed as a single project.

The wooden frame can be assessed for restoration at the same time as the seat or cushions. Specify if you wish to preserve the current tone and visible signs of wear. The shown price for the wooden frame is an independent starting point; major damage or replacement of parts requires a specific quote.
