PP589 Tremmebænken: construction and work required

The PP589 Slatted Bench was designed by Hans J. Wegner. The Slatted Bench has a long, low wooden frame with many parallel wooden slats in the seat and round legs. The gaps and rounded edges give the surface its light expression.

The seat consists of wood, which is restored rather than woven. Each slat's attachment and edges are examined, and broken or missing slats require a separate repair estimate.

You can select Restoration of wood frames and surface as a starting point in the price selector. The quote concerns your own furniture. If several jobs are needed, they are described together in the quote; selections in the price selector are not automatically added together.

The starting price is based on the restoration of the existing wooden surface. Breakages, missing wood, major structural repairs, and repair of moving parts are assessed separately. The scope of work and desired finish must be specified in the offer.

Materials and the appearance you want to preserve

The wood type, previous treatment, and desired result must be clarified before the surface is processed. An oil-treated surface requires a different approach than lacquer, and existing patina may be part of the furniture's value to you. Therefore, specify both what needs to be improved and what needs to be preserved.
