If our restoration price exceeds what a new item would cost, we will always inform you and provide an honest assessment before we begin. In this way, you can safely choose what makes the most sense – both for you and for the planet.

Collection & delivery

We offer collection and delivery of your furniture throughout Denmark. You are also very welcome to drop off and collect from one of our workshops. We agree a time for delivery or collection that suits you.

Gallery stool: construction and work required

The Gallery stool is designed by Hans Sandgren Jakobsen. The seat and supporting sides of the Gallery stool are formed as a continuous bent plywood surface. The curved top and open edges give the stool its sculptural profile.

Lacquer wear and surface marks must be distinguished from cracks or damage in the load-bearing veneer layers. The stool is a wooden piece of furniture without an upholstered seat.

Choose a service for Gallery stool

You can select Restoration of wood frames and surface as a starting point in the price selector. The quote concerns your own furniture. If several jobs are needed, they are described together in the quote; selections in the price selector are not automatically added together.

The starting price is based on the restoration of the existing wooden surface. Breakages, missing wood, major structural repairs, and repair of moving parts are assessed separately. The scope of work and desired finish must be specified in the offer.

Materials and the appearance you want to preserve

The stool's shaped plywood and finish are reviewed before a treatment is selected. Wear along floor edges and on the curved seat surface may require different efforts. Lacquer work alone cannot remedy cracks or delamination in the load-bearing layers.

Photos for assessing Gallery stool

Show the top, both curved sides, all exposed edges and the underside. State whether the stool flexes, and show cracks or loose veneer in bright light.

A photo of the markings or model number helps identify the version. State the number of pieces of furniture, previous repairs, and the issues you experience during use. Take photos calmly and with enough light so that both edges and details can be seen.

Starting price and agreement before work

All prices are indicative starting prices per piece of furniture, including VAT. Material consumption, quality, and the actual condition of the furniture can change the final amount. Work is only initiated once materials, scope, and price have been agreed upon in a specific quote. The timing for drop-off and completion is clarified in the same process.
