Give PK80 daybed new life

We start with the furniture’s condition, construction and your wishes. For PK80 daybed you can choose:

Send images of the entire piece of furniture and close-ups of wear or damage. We assess the task and clarify materials, price and expected time with you before work begins.

Is it worth restoring?

If our restoration price exceeds what a new item would cost, we will always inform you and provide an honest assessment before we begin. In this way, you can safely choose what makes the most sense – both for you and for the planet.

Collection & delivery

We offer collection and delivery of your furniture throughout Denmark. You are also very welcome to drop off and collect from one of our workshops. We agree a time for delivery or collection that suits you.

PK80 daybed: construction and work required

The PK80 daybed was designed by Poul Kjærholm. The PK80 features a long, rectangular mattress with a tufted, buttoned surface on a low stainless steel frame. The mattress edges and regular panels are essential to the furniture's sleek expression.

Buttons, seams and the long edge must be positioned consistently. The quote separates new covers from rebuilding the inside of the mattress, and any work on the steel frame is assessed separately.

Choose a service for PK80 daybed

You can select Reupholstering of mattress as a starting point in the price selector. The quote concerns your own furniture. If several jobs are needed, they are described together in the quote; selections in the price selector are not automatically added together.

The starting price includes a new cover for the selected upholstered part in the chosen material category. It requires a usable underlying structure. New foam, replacement of other filling or webbing, or extensive rebuilding of the upholstery are priced after inspection. These jobs must not be confused with simply changing the cover.

Materials and the appearance you want to preserve

Canvas, leather, or aniline leather can be chosen for the mattress. The specific quality must work with the button layout, long edge lines, and the desired expression. Material consumption is aligned with the dimensions of the mattress and any requirements regarding natural variations in the leather.

Photos for assessing PK80 daybed

Show the entire daybed from the long side, the mattress panels and buttons, edges, and underside. Provide dimensions, any previous re-upholstery, and areas with sagging.

A photo of the markings or model number helps identify the version. State the number of pieces of furniture, previous repairs, and the issues you experience during use. Take photos calmly and with enough light so that both edges and details can be seen.

Starting price and agreement before work

All prices are indicative starting prices per piece of furniture, including VAT. Material consumption, quality, and the actual condition of the furniture can change the final amount. Work is only initiated once materials, scope, and price have been agreed upon in a specific quote. The timing for drop-off and completion is clarified in the same process.
