Give OW150 daybed new life

We start with the furniture’s condition, construction and your wishes. For OW150 daybed you can choose:

  • Reupholstering of mattress
  • Restoration of wooden frame
  • New load-bearing cotton webbing

Send images of the entire piece of furniture and close-ups of wear or damage. We assess the task and clarify materials, price and expected time with you before work begins.

If our restoration price exceeds what a new item would cost, we will always inform you and provide an honest assessment before we begin. In this way, you can safely choose what makes the most sense – both for you and for the planet.

Collection & delivery

We offer collection and delivery of your furniture throughout Denmark. You are also very welcome to drop off and collect from one of our workshops. We agree a time for delivery or collection that suits you.

OW150 daybed: construction and work required

The OW150 daybed was designed by Ole Wanscher. The OW150 features a long wooden frame with six legs and a continuous upholstered mattress. Hand-woven cotton webbing under the mattress supports the surface and is a different material task than the upholstery itself.

The long edges of the mattress and any buttons require uniform tension. The construction is inspected with the mattress lifted off, so that loose webbing or weakened joints become visible.

Choose a service for OW150 daybed

You can select Reupholstering of mattress and Restoration of wooden frame and New load-bearing cotton webbing as a starting point in the price selector. The quote concerns your own furniture. If several jobs are needed, they are described together in the quote; selections in the price selector are not automatically added together.

The starting price includes a new cover for the selected upholstered part in the chosen material category. It requires a usable underlying structure. New foam, replacement of other filling or webbing, or extensive rebuilding of the upholstery are priced after inspection. These jobs must not be confused with simply changing the cover.

Materials and the appearance you want to preserve

The mattress can be finished with upholstery fabric, leather, or aniline leather with an agreed-upon edge and button layout. The supporting, hand-woven cotton webbing underneath is a separate service. The width, weave, and tension of the webbing must fit the wooden frame; they are not automatically replaced with elastic straps.

The wooden frame can be assessed for restoration at the same time as the seat or cushions. Specify if you wish to preserve the current tone and visible signs of wear. The shown price for the wooden frame is an independent starting point; major damage or replacement of parts requires a specific quote.

Photos for assessing OW150 daybed

Show the entire daybed from the side, the mattress surface and edges as well as the webbing underneath. Provide dimensions and which buttons or stitches are to be preserved.

A photo of the markings or model number helps identify the version. State the number of pieces of furniture, previous repairs, and the issues you experience during use. Take photos calmly and with enough light so that both edges and details can be seen.

Starting price and agreement before work

All prices are indicative starting prices per piece of furniture, including VAT. Material consumption, quality, and the actual condition of the furniture can change the final amount. Work is only initiated once materials, scope, and price have been agreed upon in a specific quote. The timing for drop-off and completion is clarified in the same process.
