Høvdingestolen FJ4900: construction and work required

The Chieftain Chair FJ4900 was designed by Finn Juhl. The Chieftain Chair has a large, sculptural wooden frame with a separately upholstered seat, a wide shaped backrest, and small upholstered armrests.

The leatherwork must preserve the curves of the back, the buttons, and the shape of the thin armrests. The price selection includes the upholstered parts; major reconstruction is agreed upon after inspection.

Choose a service for Høvdingestolen FJ4900

You can select Reupholstery and Restoration of wooden frame as a starting point in the price selector. The quote concerns your own furniture. If several jobs are needed, they are described together in the quote; selections in the price selector are not automatically added together.

The starting price includes a new cover for the selected upholstered part in the chosen material category. It requires a usable underlying structure. New foam, replacement of other filling or webbing, or extensive rebuilding of the upholstery are priced after inspection. These jobs must not be confused with simply changing the cover.

Materials and the appearance you want to preserve

The Chieftain Chair is offered here with leather or aniline leather as a starting point. The size, thickness, and properties of the hides must suit the wide backrest and the shaped armrests. Color, surface, and desired patina are agreed upon with a specific material sample. The natural variation of the leather must be included in the cutting process.

The wooden frame can be assessed for restoration at the same time as the seat or cushions. Specify if you wish to preserve the current tone and visible signs of wear. The shown price for the wooden frame is an independent starting point; major damage or replacement of parts requires a specific quote.
