JK710 Skater Chair: construction and work required

The JK710 Skater Chair was designed by Jørgen Kastholm. The JK710 Skater Chair features a molded seat and a separate backrest on a sculptural metal base. The long, low feet and the curved connection under the seat are reminiscent of the sleek lines of ice skates.

The upholstery must follow the edges and tension of the thin surfaces. The chair has no armrests; work on the metal base, damage to fastenings, or major reconstruction is assessed separately.

Choose a service for JK710 Skater Chair

You can select Reupholstery of seat and backrest as a starting point in the price selector. The quote concerns your own furniture. If several jobs are needed, they are described together in the quote; selections in the price selector are not automatically added together.

The starting price includes a new cover for the selected upholstered part in the chosen material category. It requires a usable underlying structure. New foam, replacement of other filling or webbing, or extensive rebuilding of the upholstery are priced after inspection. These jobs must not be confused with simply changing the cover.

Materials and the appearance you want to preserve

The thickness and stretch of the leather are matched to the slim seat and back surfaces. For sheepskin, the fur type, hair length, direction, and seams must be clarified. Changing materials can affect the edge profile and comfort; samples and cutting are approved before the work begins. The condition of the metal base is assessed separately.
