PP266 Den Kinesiske Bænk: construction and work required

PP266 The Chinese Bench was designed by Hans J. Wegner. PP266 continues the curved wooden back and armrests of the Chinese Chair in a long bench format. The seat is woven in paper cord.

The long seat places special demands on straight lines and uniform tension. The wooden frame must therefore be inspected before reweaving.

Choose a service for PP266 Den Kinesiske Bænk

You can select New paper-cord weaving and Restoration of wooden frame as a starting point in the price selector. The quote concerns your own furniture. If several jobs are needed, they are described together in the quote; selections in the price selector are not automatically added together.

The starting price applies to a complete replacement of the weaving on the described part with the selected material. Repair of wood, loose joints, or damaged fastening points is not automatically included. These must be clarified first so that the load-bearing structure is suitable for the new weaving.

Materials and the appearance you want to preserve

New paper cord weaving is adapted to the existing structure and the agreed pattern. For the PP266, the starting price is based on natural-colored paper cord. A wish for a different technique or a different type of material must be described in advance, as it can change both the appearance and the scope of work.

The wooden frame can be assessed for restoration at the same time as the seat or cushions. Specify if you wish to preserve the current tone and visible signs of wear. The shown price for the wooden frame is an independent starting point; major damage or replacement of parts requires a specific quote.
