Give PK4 new life

We start with the furniture’s condition, construction and your wishes. For PK4 you can choose:

  • New flag-halyard weaving

Send images of the entire piece of furniture and close-ups of wear or damage. We assess the task and clarify materials, price and expected time with you before work begins.

Is it worth restoring?

If our restoration price exceeds what a new item would cost, we will always inform you and provide an honest assessment before we begin. In this way, you can safely choose what makes the most sense – both for you and for the planet.

Collection & delivery

We offer collection and delivery of your furniture throughout Denmark. You are also very welcome to drop off and collect from one of our workshops. We agree a time for delivery or collection that suits you.

PK4: construction and work required

PK4 was designed by Poul Kjærholm. The PK4 is a low lounge chair without armrests, where parallel flag lines form the seat and back over a slender steel frame. The continuous lines and the triangular sides of the frame give the chair its open profile.

The dimension and tension of the lines must match the steel mounting points and the long surface of the chair. A tight paper cord seat or an upholstered seat is not the same task as this construction.

Choose a service for PK4

You can select New flag-halyard weaving as a starting point in the price selector. The quote concerns your own furniture. If several jobs are needed, they are described together in the quote; selections in the price selector are not automatically added together.

The starting price applies to a complete replacement of the weaving on the described part with the selected material. Repair of wood, loose joints, or damaged fastening points is not automatically included. These must be clarified first so that the load-bearing structure is suitable for the new weaving.

Materials and the appearance you want to preserve

New flag-halyard weaving is fitted to the existing construction and agreed pattern. Choose natural-coloured or black as a starting point; material and colour are confirmed in the quote. Requests for another technique or material type must be described in advance, as they can change both the appearance and scope of work.

Photos for assessing PK4

Show the whole chair from the side and front, where the cords turn around the frame, and the underside. Include close-ups of worn cords, joints and any damage to the metal surface.

A photo of the markings or model number helps identify the version. State the number of pieces of furniture, previous repairs, and the issues you experience during use. Take photos calmly and with enough light so that both edges and details can be seen.

Starting price and agreement before work

All prices are indicative starting prices per piece of furniture, including VAT. Material consumption, quality, and the actual condition of the furniture can change the final amount. Work is only initiated once materials, scope, and price have been agreed upon in a specific quote. The timing for drop-off and completion is clarified in the same process.
