Oxford 3291W, low back with armrests: construction and work required

Oxford 3291W, low back with armrests, was designed by Arne Jacobsen. The Oxford 3291W features a low upholstered back, metal armrests, and a central column on a five-star castor base. The armrests distinguish it from the 3191W.

The upholstery must end precisely at the armrest attachments. The task covers the upholstered seat and back surfaces; repair of armrests or mechanics is assessed separately.

The starting price includes a new cover for the selected upholstered part in the chosen material category. It requires a usable underlying structure. New foam, replacement of other filling or webbing, or extensive rebuilding of the upholstery are priced after inspection. These jobs must not be confused with simply changing the cover.

Materials and the appearance you want to preserve

You can choose furniture fabric, leather, or aniline leather as a starting point for the quote. The specific quality, color, and finish are agreed upon based on usage and preferences. A patterned textile may require more material than a solid-colored one, and the leather's natural variations must be taken into account during cutting. If multiple pieces of furniture are to have the same upholstery, they are assessed as a single project.
