AV53 Armchair: construction and work required

The AV53 armchair was designed by Arne Vodder. The AV53 armchair features a medium-high upholstered back with buttons, closed armrests, and a loose seat cushion. The upholstered body rests on four visible wooden legs.

The buttons on the back and the transition between the arms and the seat help maintain the chair's tight contour. The starting price applies to the single-person armchair; sofa versions are evaluated based on their larger dimensions.

Choose a service for AV53 Armchair

You can select Reupholstery and Restoration of wooden frame as a starting point in the price selector. The quote concerns your own furniture. If several jobs are needed, they are described together in the quote; selections in the price selector are not automatically added together.

The starting price includes a new cover for the selected upholstered part in the chosen material category. It requires a usable underlying structure. New foam, replacement of other filling or webbing, or extensive rebuilding of the upholstery are priced after inspection. These jobs must not be confused with simply changing the cover.

Materials and the appearance you want to preserve

You can choose furniture fabric, leather, or aniline leather as a starting point for the quote. The specific quality, color, and finish are agreed upon based on usage and preferences. A patterned textile may require more material than a solid-colored one, and the leather's natural variations must be taken into account during cutting. If multiple pieces of furniture are to have the same upholstery, they are assessed as a single project.

The wooden frame can be assessed for restoration at the same time as the seat or cushions. Specify if you wish to preserve the current tone and visible signs of wear. The shown price for the wooden frame is an independent starting point; major damage or replacement of parts requires a specific quote.

Photos for assessing AV53 Armchair

Show the buttons on the back, the front edges of the armrests, the cushion on both sides and the underside. Provide dimensions and any markings, so that armchair and sofa version are distinguished.

A photo of the markings or model number helps identify the version. State the number of pieces of furniture, previous repairs, and the issues you experience during use. Take photos calmly and with enough light so that both edges and details can be seen.

Starting price and agreement before work

All prices are indicative starting prices per piece of furniture, including VAT. Material consumption, quality, and the actual condition of the furniture can change the final amount. Work is only initiated once materials, scope, and price have been agreed upon in a specific quote. The timing for drop-off and completion is clarified in the same process.
