Ditzel Lounge Chair: construction and work required

The Ditzel Lounge Chair was designed by Nanna Ditzel and Jørgen Ditzel. The Ditzel Lounge Chair features a low, enveloping back that transitions into the armrests, and a fixed upholstered seat. Four slanted wooden legs and visible piping complete its compact form.

The seat is integrated into the upholstered body and has no loose cushion. The piping and the continuous curves require precise cutting; molded foam and the internal steel frame are assessed separately.

Choose a service for Ditzel Lounge Chair

You can select Reupholstery and Restoration of wooden frame as a starting point in the price selector. The quote concerns your own furniture. If several jobs are needed, they are described together in the quote; selections in the price selector are not automatically added together.

The starting price includes a new cover for the selected upholstered part in the chosen material category. It requires a usable underlying structure. New foam, replacement of other filling or webbing, or extensive rebuilding of the upholstery are priced after inspection. These jobs must not be confused with simply changing the cover.

Materials and the appearance you want to preserve

Fabric, leather, and sheepskin impose different requirements on the continuous curves. The material and color of the piping are agreed upon based on the existing chair. For sheepskin, hair length, fur direction, and seams are clarified. New molded foam or major reconstruction of the body is assessed separately from the fabric.

The wooden frame can be assessed for restoration at the same time as the seat or cushions. Specify if you wish to preserve the current tone and visible signs of wear. The shown price for the wooden frame is an independent starting point; major damage or replacement of parts requires a specific quote.
