The Tired Man footstool: construction and work required

The Tired Man footstool was designed by Flemming Lassen. The footstool for The Tired Man has a plump, softly rounded upholstered body on short legs with small front wheels. The large surface and rounded corners follow the design language of the lounge chair.

The corners and drape of the upholstery must fit the low body. The footstool is assessed separately from the armchair, even when both pieces of furniture are to be upholstered with the same material.

Choose a service for The Tired Man footstool

You can select Reupholstery as a starting point in the price selector. The quote concerns your own furniture. If several jobs are needed, they are described together in the quote; selections in the price selector are not automatically added together.

The starting price includes a new cover for the selected upholstered part in the chosen material category. It requires a usable underlying structure. New foam, replacement of other filling or webbing, or extensive rebuilding of the upholstery are priced after inspection. These jobs must not be confused with simply changing the cover.

Materials and the appearance you want to preserve

Furniture fabric and sheepskin are different material choices. For sheepskin, the fur type, hair length, color, and direction are agreed upon so that seams and transitions fit the furniture's curves. Woven fabric is chosen based on texture and use. The need for new filling or major reconstruction is assessed separately.

Show the surface from above, all four corners, the underside, and the wheels. State whether the padding has collapsed, and show the matching chair if you wish for identical upholstery.

A photo of the markings or model number helps identify the version. State the number of pieces of furniture, previous repairs, and the issues you experience during use. Take photos calmly and with enough light so that both edges and details can be seen.

Starting price and agreement before work

All prices are indicative starting prices per piece of furniture, including VAT. Material consumption, quality, and the actual condition of the furniture can change the final amount. Work is only initiated once materials, scope, and price have been agreed upon in a specific quote. The timing for drop-off and completion is clarified in the same process.
