Give KEVI 2533 new life

We start with the furniture’s condition, construction and your wishes. For KEVI 2533 you can choose:

  • New full covers for seat and backrest
  • Restoration of visible veneer shells
  • Replacement of wheel sets
  • Replacement of gas spring

Send images of the entire piece of furniture and close-ups of wear or damage. We assess the task and clarify materials, price and expected time with you before work begins.

If our restoration price exceeds what a new item would cost, we will always inform you and provide an honest assessment before we begin. In this way, you can safely choose what makes the most sense – both for you and for the planet.

Collection & delivery

We offer collection and delivery of your furniture throughout Denmark. You are also very welcome to drop off and collect from one of our workshops. We agree a time for delivery or collection that suits you.

KEVI 2533: construction and work required

KEVI 2533 was designed by Jørgen Rasmussen. KEVI 2533 has two separate molded shells on a narrow back support above a five-legged swivel base. Seat and back are available in visible veneer and in versions with thin upholstery.

2533 is available with seat upholstery, inner upholstery and full cover. The specific version must be identified, and the thin profile must be preserved during reupholstery.

Choose a service for KEVI 2533

You can select New full covers for seat and backrest and Restoration of visible veneer shells and Replacement of wheel sets and Replacement of gas spring as a starting point in the price selector. The quote concerns your own furniture. If several jobs are needed, they are described together in the quote; selections in the price selector are not automatically added together.

The cover price applies to new full covers for the seat and backrest of an existing upholstered version with usable filling. New foam construction or converting a bare veneer chair is assessed separately. The castor set and gas spring services include a compatible part and installation in usable fittings. Work on exposed veneer surfaces is a separate option. Damage to the base, column or backrest support is included following an individual assessment.

Materials and the appearance you want to preserve

The covers are fitted to the seat and backrest separately. The fabric’s stretch, the leather’s thickness and the edge finish must suit the existing padding. A different material must not obstruct access to the backrest support and adjustments. Castors and the gas spring are selected according to model, height variant, fittings and floor type. The part’s dimensions and the availability of a compatible replacement are confirmed before the work is agreed. Replacement is a separate service; the price selector’s choices are not automatically added together. The moulded shell consists of thin veneer layers and must not be treated as solid wood. The existing lacquer, stain or exposed oak determines the method. Edges and areas around the screws are examined before a small test is carried out. Worn-through veneer, loose layers or missing wood require a separate assessment; a colour change is not automatically included either.

Show the seat and back from both sides, the thickness of the edges, the underside, and the model markings. Include images of the castors and height adjustment, and state which functions may be failing.

A photo of the markings or model number helps identify the version. State the number of pieces of furniture, previous repairs, and the issues you experience during use. Take photos calmly and with enough light so that both edges and details can be seen.

Starting price and agreement before work

All prices are indicative starting prices per piece of furniture, including VAT. Material consumption, quality, and the actual condition of the furniture can change the final amount. Work is only initiated once materials, scope, and price have been agreed upon in a specific quote. The timing for drop-off and completion is clarified in the same process.
